About us

Meet Joe

Hello, I am the owner of ALT and my journey to
become a personal trainer started when I was a child. I was encouraged to play and enjoy many sports and this introduced me to the extensive psychological, physical and social benefits of exercise.

During my years at university, I suffered from a debilitating eating disorder which had a very negative impact on all aspects of my life. Happily, I recovered and I now look back on my experience as a blessing. It’s educated me, given me an insight into my own strengths, made me healthier and enabled me to have a balanced approach to health and well being. It is my belief that when striving for better fitness and health it is important to retain balance in our lives, our nutrition, training and mental health. These are all crucially interlinked and this informs and guides my practice as a personal trainer. All my clients are individuals to me, you have your own stories and your own goals which will be our starting point
together.

What does ALT mean?

ALT is abbreviated from the word Altruism meaning the moral practice of concern for happiness of other human beings, which is why I intend to create a method for you to reach your goal with a personal approach to training.

I provide services to help improve your fitness, physique, health and wellbeing through personal training, workforce wellness programmes and online training.

My aim is to educate, support and motivate you in order to achieve your best results. I believe it’s important to feel part of a community to share your experiences, ask questions and connect with like-minded individuals.
